The CEJN 208 Detect blow gun, made of food grade plastic in compliance with Reg. (EC) No 1935/2004 and FDA CFR 21.170-199, is developed and manufactured for improved food safety in the production process within the food and beverage industry. All parts of the blow gun are detectable, ensuring no accidental contamination during production. In addition to being detectable, the 208 Detect blow gun possesses the same great features as the standard 208 blow gun: high blowing force, lightweight, ergonomic, robust design and high precision flow control.
Designed and Manufactured to Improve Food Safety: Food safety systems such as HACCP, IFS, and BRC have identified foreign body (undesirable solid objects found in food) contamination as one of the main risks in the production process, of which metals and plastic are two of the most common physical contaminants found in food. The detectable plastic of the 208 Detect blow gun enables plastic pieces as small as 2×2 mm* to be detected in metal detectors and X-ray inspection systems and is in compliance with HACCP, IFS, BRC, and GFSI standards like FSSC 22000. *Depends on the metal detector itself and how the detector is calibrated.

– Metal & X-Ray Detectable: All parts of the 208 Detect blow gun are detectable in both metal detectors and X-ray inspection systems, ensuring a high level of food safety in the production process. The risk of product rejections and expensive re-calls and waste are thereby minimized.
– Food Grade Plastic: Food-grade plastic is the preferred choice when there’s a potential risk for food contact. The 208 Detect is made of food-grade plastic in compliance with Reg. (EC) No 1935/2004 and FDA CFR 21.170-199, ensuring no contamination if accidentally getting in contact with food.
– Stainless Steel Valve with Food Grade Grease: The stainless steel AISI 303 (1.4305) valve has excellent resistance to both corrosion and high temperatures. Additionally, the food-grade grease (NSF H1) guarantees that any contact with food remains free from contamination.
– Detectable & Food Approved Seals: Sometimes accidents happen. Even if the 208 Detect is crushed and destroyed and the seals on the valve fall out, you can rest assured. The food-grade seals comply with Reg. (EC) No 1935/2004 and FDA 21.177.2600, and are detectable in both metal detectors and X-ray inspection systems.
– High Chemical Resistance: To maintain stringent hygienic standards, it’s essential to clean production equipment in the food and beverage industry multiple times a day. The plastic in the 208 Detect is resistant to common cleaning and disinfection chemicals used in food processing and manufacturing plants.
