12″ Antimicrobial & Resin-Set DRS® Scrub Brush, Stiff Bristles
Polypropylene block with european threads. Polyester fill, Resin-Set DRS bristles. The dense fill allows excellent spot cleaning. All plastics in the anti-microbial cleaning tool contain the additive, including the brush filaments and handles(if attached).
Hillbrush has developed a unique dual approach to retaining tufts by both staple and resin within their hygiene brush range. The tuft is first punched into the brush back with a stainless steel staple, then Epoxy resin is floated into a recess on the face of the brush. The resin permeates the bottom of the hole, covering the filaments and the staples as it goes. This makes the chance of a filament pulling out, extremely remote and it inhibits the accumulation of dirt or moisture around the filaments.
Antimicrobial (Biomaster) Information
Based on silver-ion technology, Biomaster protects surfaces in the following three ways:
1. Disrupting growth by binding to the cell wall
2. Interrupting DNA, preventing replication
3. Interfering with and preventing enzyme production
These three modes of action ultimately lead to the bacteria’s death. What’s more, this inorganic antimicrobial is durable, long-lasting and non-leaching, making it perfectly safe for food contact. It has been successfully tested on most common organisms. Biomaster Antibacterial Technology is proven to be effective against: MRSA, Salmonella, E.coli, Legionella, Campylobacter, Listeria, Pseudomonas and more.
‘An antimicrobial is an agent that kills microorganisms or stops their growth’. It prevents the growth or of destroys a wide range of microbes such as bacteria, fungi and moulds. This mustn’t be confused with an ‘antibacterial’ that specifically prevents the growth of bacteria.
Antimicrobial products are used in many environments such as hospitals, care homes, schools, gyms and offices but the benefits have been identified within the food industry to reduce the risk of food poisoning. With the increasing awareness of the need to improve hygiene levels the demand for antimicrobial cleaning tools is growing. Antimicrobial hygiene tools effectively inhibit the growth of bacteria on the surface of the product.
Hillbrush has worked in conjunction with Addmaster to develop a range of cleaning tools that are manufactured using the antimicrobial additive technology. By incorporating into the range of anti-microbial cleaning tools, Hillbrush can offer an effective antimicrobial protection for the effective lifetime of the products helping to reduce or add to microbial loading on equipment.
Important Note: The antimicrobial additive is not a replacement for good cleaning practices and manual effective cleaning is still key but by cleaning with anti-microbial cleaning tools, bacteria survival on the cleaning equipment is reduced and is constantly working in-between cleans.
